Exercise regularly, be sure to complete your workout at least 3 hours before bedtime.
Eat regular, nutritious meals, but not a heavy meal at bedtime.
Create a positive sleep environment. Lower the thermostat - we sleep better in cooler temperatures. Sleep in the dark. Avoid sleeping with the television on. Block or mask outside sounds.
Avoid tobacco or caffeine several hours before bedtime.
